Fildelningsklienter blockeras på det trådlösa nätet och VPN
Om vårt övervakningssystemet identifierar att en dator har ett fildelningsprogram aktivt kommer den att blockerats under 20 minuter.
Man kan fortfarande komma åt datorer på Lunds universitets nät men inga andra resurser. För att häva blockeringen måste man stänga av sitt fildelningsprogram. Man måste se till att det verkligen är avstängt och inte fortfarande ligger aktivt men minimerat.
Det kan finnas program som man inte förknippar med fildelning men som använder sig av samma teknik, spel som "World of Warcraft" och "Steam"
är exempel på sådana. Ofta går det att stänga av peer-2-peer ppdateringen och använda andra metoder att uppdatera programmen.

Filesharing clients are blocked on the wireless network and VPN
If our surveillance system identifies an active filesharing client on a computer it will be blocked for 20 minutes. It is still possible to reach servers on the univerisity network but no other resources. To
unblock the network access, you must close down the filesharing client and make sure that it really is closed and not still running minimized on your computer.
There are programs that you may not think are filesharing programs but use the same kind of technology, games like "World of Warcraft" and
"Steam" are examples of such programs. You can often turn off the peer-2-peer updating functions and use other methods to update them.
